The ECM Private Billing (EMS) Course focuses on Private Billing for Ambulance services in South Africa.

This course is designed for both Paramedics and for Billing/Admin staff. Ambulance billing rules are very specific with many fundamental differences to other healthcare billing. This courses will also give an overview of Private Billing with an introduction to the NHPRL, ICD 10 coding, PMB's and WCA. The course consists of 1 and a half hours of videos. Once you have completed viewing the videos you will immediately receive your CPD points. There are no MCQ's or assignments needed.

Course Curriculum:

  • Introduction to Private billing
  • Explanation of NHPRL
  • Basic overview of funders and Medical aids
  • Introduction to ICD 10 and tariff codes
  • Explanation of ambulance tariffing codes
  • Funder specific rules
